CULTURE CHANGE

Culture change is a resident centered approach that has home and work environments in which care and all resident related activities are decided by the resident. The living environment is designed to be a home rather than and institution, close relationships exist between residents, family members, staff and community, work is organized to support and allow all staff to respond to residents' needs and desires, management allows collaborative and group decision making, and processes/measures are ussed for continuous quality improvement. It is important to us that our residents experience life enriching activities and feel like part of the community while staying in our nursing home. Our residents' quality of life is important to us and this is why we not only offer a variety of daily activities, events, and classes, but also create a home environment where our residents are free to choose their meals, daily activities, and social interactions.
